Launch of FOMACS

Couple of Weeks ago, Launch of FOMACS ( Forum on Migration and Communications) took place in DIT.
FOMACS is three-year media driven programme producing print, photographic, broadcast, and interactive stories on the topic of immigration and integration, with the aim of reaching and enganging ethnic communities in Ireland. It is first of its kind iniative in ireland so far, hoping to do lot of work on interculturalism.



Different communities newspaper were invited and put their stalls. It was just amazing to the number of ethnic publications.


Ronit Lenit (lady with shawl) is senior lecturer in Dept. of Sociology at Trinity College Dublin. She holds strong pro-immigration views and writes frequently on issues affecting ethnic communities in Ireland.
